Project Engineers - Subsea / Offshore equipment - Edinburgh, Scotland
Our client is a global provider of engineered services and products primarily to the offshore oil and gas industry, with a focus on deepwater applications and in particular subsea umbilicals.

The jobs:

We are looking for Project Engineers; their primary responsibilities will be as follows:

• Creating specifications relating to the production process, including assembly specifications and testing details
• Liaising and meeting with suppliers
• Solving production and manufacturing problems as they arise
• Generating bills of materials (BOMs) & procurement specifications in order to start the manufacturing process
• Reviewing customer specifications and bid documents in order that the umbilical design meets the Client’s requirements
• Undertaking design calculations as required proving designs produced are fit for purpose
• Reviewing and approving umbilical design drawings and general assemblies ensuring that company and industry standards are being maintained.

Qualifications and experience:

• Degree in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline (or HNC/HND with significant related experience)
• At least 2 years experience in a similar role in an engineering manufacturing organization, ideally with experience of technical writing
• Experience of working in the off-shore Oil & Gas related industry is highly desirable
• Good knowledge of MS Office, MS Project and one or more of the following: AutoCAD / SolidWorks / MathCAD
• Excellent verbal and written English is essential
